Maja, Kim in tearful reconciliation?

MANILA, Philippines — Maja Salvador and Kim Chiu are seen in a tearful reconciliation as their characters in “Ina, Kapatid, Anak” in a preview of an upcoming episode of the hit drama series.

In the Primetime Bida offering, Margaux (Salvador) and Celyn (Chiu) are caught in a bitter feud, initially over Celyn’s falling for her best friend’s partner (Enchong Dee).

Later, however, their tiff escalates with the revelation that Celyn is the biological daughter of Margaux’s apparent foster parents Beatrice and Julio (Janice de Belen and Ariel Rivera).

The rivalry of the two lead characters intensified with the revelation that they are in fact biological twins — the children of Julio and Beatrice, given birth to by the latter’s half-sister Theresa (Cherry Pie Picache), who had volunteered to be a surrogate mother.

In the latest episodes of the series, Margaux’s hatred towards Celyn grows when her friend and confidant Liam (Xian Lim) falls in love with her twin.

The warring sides, however, are set to finally reconcile, as seen a preview released Wednesday (seen above) for an upcoming episode of “Ina, Kapatid, Anak.”

A tearful Margaux tells Celyn: “Hindi ko alam kung paano ako hihingi ng tawad for hurting you. I’m sorry, Celyn. I am so sorry.”

Leading up to the teased reconciliation, the creators of “Ina, Kapatid, Anak” admitted that putting together confrontational scenes between Margaux and Celyn has become increasingly difficult, in light of the reported real-life tension between the two actresses.

The soap first aired in October last year, and was already billed at the time as featuring the “rivalry” of the two principal characters.

It was in early January when Chiu expressed regret over her “wasted” friendship with Salvador, following reports of a blooming “relationship” between the “Thelma” actress and actor Gerald Anderson.

Chiu and Anderson broke up in 2010 amid controversies surrounding their relationship.

The former “My Binondo Girl” star said early this month that she has forgiven both Salvador and Anderson, who are now more open about their relationship, but added that it is “difficult to forget.”

Pokwang opens up on working with Vilma Santos

MANILA, Philippines – The saying “when a door closes, a window opens” proved true in comedienne Pokwang’s case as she immediately found herself blessed with a number of projects after noontime show “Happy Yipee Yehey” went off-air early this month.

Aside from doing a movie with former matinee idol Gabby Concepcion and a teleserye on ABS-CBN, Pokwang has been tapped to join the cast of horror film, “The Healing,” with Kim Chiu and Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos.

Kim, Kris on trips abroad with loved ones

MANILA, Philippines – Kapamilya actresses Kim Chiu and Kris Aquino recently took time off from their busy schedules to fly to famous Asian destinations for well-deserved quality family bonding time.

Primetime princess Kim traveled to Macau with her older sister, Lakam.

“Kasi sobrang biglaan… Nag-bonding kami ng ate ko kasi siyempre hindi ko siya lagi nakakasama,” she said in a taped interview with “The Buzz” aired on Feb. 19.

Kim, who seemed to be an extreme sports enthusiast, made her trip to the former Portuguese colony memorable by jumping off the 1,108.9 feet-tall Macau Tower. Photos and video clips of their trip were shown exclusively in the report.

Kim Chiu refutes insinuation that Xian Lim is only riding her coattails

MANILA, Philippines – Kim Chiu is one of the most famous young actresses these days but being paired with her sometimes does not augur well for the partner.

Upcoming actor-singer Xian Lim knows this only too well as he has been accused of “using” Chiu to

further his career – a matter that he already dutifully parried in several interviews.

Good thing for him, Chiu is ever-ready to belie the malicious insinuation. In a recent interview with PEP, Chiu appealed for critics to leave Lim be, even as she insists that his success is through his own merits.

“Nagkataon lang talaga,” she said. “Baka ‘yun ang tinatawag nila na time niya ‘to shine,’ at ito na yung moment niya.”

Chiu reiterated that Lim wasn’t even supposed to be his leading man on “My Binondo Girl.”

“Si Jolo [Revilla] kasi, nagkasakit. Si Matteo [Guidicelli], nagkaroon ng problema. So, siya ang pinareha sa akin and nagustuhan naman ng tao,” she explained.

Xian Lim Serenaded Kim Chiu with a Choir at the ‘My Binondo Girl’ Set

Kim Chiu admittedly said that she was surprised and romantically thrilled at Xian Lim’s sweet gesture of serenading her with a choir at the set of ‘My Binondo Girl’.

“First time na may nagganun na tao sa akin, syempre iba rin ang feeling ng tao ‘pag ganun,” Kim said in her interview at ‘The Buzz’.

Kim Chiu also laughingly said, “Natawa ako. Habang kumakanta ‘yung choir lumabas siya, may dalang bulaklak ay ano ba ‘to, performance level.”

Although there have already been rumors linking Kim Chiu and Xian Lim, the ‘My Binondo Girl’ actress clarified that she and her ‘My Binondo Girl’ leading man Xian have no romantic relationship as of the moment.

“We’re just friends. Enjoy ko siyang kasama, tawa ka lang nang tawa.” Sa tanong kung wala pa bang pagtitinginang more than friends, ang makahulugang sambit ni Kim, ‘‘Di ko pa alam. Kinikilig-kilig nang konti, pero dun muna. Syempre dahan-dahan lang para sigurado ka kung ano ng nararamdaman mo.”

On the other hand, Xian Lim expressively said that he has a special admiration for Kim Chiu. In an interview with Xian, he said, “She’s a special girl. She means a lot to me. She’s special. I just want her to be happy.”
